A few weeks ago, US Soccer announced Mauricio Pocchetino as the new coach of the United States national team for the 2026 World Cup.

However, it seems that things are not going so well within the internal structure of the American Federation.

According to The Athletic on Friday, US Soccer announced the dismissal of some 30 employees from its organizational chart in different areas.

US Soccer has established that the departure of those affected by the federation will be done in stages.

Although many of the 30 dismissed will leave their positions immediately, others will do so in April 2025, the date on which their contracts expire.

US Soccer closed the quarter with a profit of $32 million thanks to its commercial income.

The projection from the offices is estimated to end with a total income of $110 million, which would represent an increase of 243% in two years.

These changes within the federation apparently come hand in hand with the move of its headquarters to Atlanta.
