The Dolphins’s defensive back (3-6) played a tremendous game and Tyreek Hill scored a touchdown again in the unlikely 23-15 win against the Rams (4-5) on Monday night at SoFI Stadium in Los Angeles.
So efficient was the defense of the Miami ensemble that the experienced 16-campaign quarterback in the NFL and Super Bowl winner Matthew Stafford couldn’t lead his own to a touchdown, was knocked down four times, and had to settle for five field goals that weren’t enough.

Huge importance has this triumph for the Dolphins who had lost their last three games and cut the streak to the Rams, who came from three consecutive victories.
Tua Tagovailoa played a good role. He completed 20 of 28 passes for 207 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
Stafford, meanwhile, hit 32 of 46 passes for 293 yards and one interception. Jaylen Waddle gained 57 yards on three receptions.
The Dolphins started by stepping hard and after a couple of superb combinations between Tua and Waddle, the quarterback gave the ovoid to rookie Malik Washington, who in an 18-yard run scored the first touchdown of his life in the opening attack of the match.
Anthony Walker Jr. intercepted Stafford with just 1:09 minutes to finish the first quarter and kicker Jason Sanders took advantage of the big play with a 50-sard field goal to put the Dolphins up 10-0, just starting the second period.
Then there were three losses of the ovoid in a row within five minutes of the second quarter. Tua was intercepted, but in the next play the Rams suffered a fumble and Kendall Fuller returned the ovoid for the Miami squad.
Tua was attacked by the Rams’s defense and lost the ovoid to leave Los Angeles in the attack. Because of that loss to the ovoid, Joshua Karty hit a 34-yard field goal to discount 10-3. In the new possession of the Dolphins, Tua was knocked down.
The quarterback had enough time to get rid of the ovoid, but he didn’t and missed 15 yards preventing his team from completing the downs.
That gave the Rams time and Karty scored a 50-plus field goal that brought them closer to 10-6 to go with that score to rest.
It was certainly a game with few numbers on the board, but a lot of things happened and it was very interesting. After seven games, Hill converted a touchdown.
They played 9:25 minutes of the third quarter and Tua gave a one-day serve to score. Since the opening day, Hill hasn’t scored a TD in the longest space of his career.
For the Dolphins it was a relief to go 17-6 because the Rams came with everything. With a 53-yard kick, Karty put his own 17-9, but Sanders from 37 yards away to Miami again distanced Miami from its 11-point opponent, with 9:11 minutes left for the final.
From then on you had to play intelligently to maintain the advantage. Karty converted another field goal, this time from 22 yards, and the board went 20-12 in favor of the Dolphins.
Sanders stretched the lead to 11 points with a 50-yard field goal with just 2:43 left on the clock.
With 39 seconds left on the countdown, Karty scored his fifth field goal to bring the Rams closer to 23-15 and homers looked for the heroics at the end of the game, but never made it.
After Tua’s return from concussion, the Dolphins’s offense improved markedly, and in the previous two games he scored 27 points, although he lost in the last seconds due to defensive failures.
Precisely, the Rams” biggest danger was their two wide receivers Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp.
They also returned two days ago and the Los Angeles offense led by quarterback Stafford regained his power.
The Dolphins were able to slow down the Rams, but they are still alive during the season. Next Sunday they will receive the Las Vegas Raiders (2-7) at the Hard Rock Stadium.
