In the early afternoon, the Heat faced the Hawks at the State Farm Arena this Saturday, seeking their third consecutive win, but it was only a wish, their defense did not make the trip and bit the dust of defeat.

Thus, in a very contested clash, the Atlanta team imposed 120-110 on the Miami quintet, which this Sunday will face the Rockets in Houston.

With this result the Hawks (17-15) snatched the 6th place in the Eastern Conference, sending the Heat (15-14) 7th place, in a week convulsed by the situation of Jimmy Butler, who could not play this match either.

Although they left Trae Young on 11 points, including the last 3-pointers of the free-throw game, Miami’s defense was a disaster throughout the game and the loss of the Capital of the Sun is just the quintet, even though their attack was decent with 44.4 percent in field shots (31.7 percent in triples).

Tyler Herro’s 28 points (4 triples) were of no use, in addition to his 7 rebounds and 10 assists getting a double-double and rubbing the triple-double. He lacked much more support.

Nothing to reproach Bam Adebayo, who reaped another double-double with 17 units and 10 rebounds, although it always gives the feeling that he can do more.

Something similar to Duncan Robinson who, with four triples, reached 16 points, plus 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Haywood Highsmith hit 14 points and six rebounds, but with a -11 that condemns him.

Alec Burks the best of the second unit was with 10 and Terry Rozier stayed on 9. For the Hawks, Jalen Johnson scored 28 points, DeAndre Hunter with 26, Garrison Mathews with 18, Young with 11, and Larry Nancy with 10.

The first half ended 61-58 for Atlanta, which relied on Johnson’s 14 points, on 10 from Hunter and another 10 for Mathews. While the Heat had Herro with 12 and Robinson with 11 as his most prominent men in attack.

The Hawks with great choral work took the first quarter 35-27, in a contested partial that was decided in the final two minutes.

Miami returned the coin in the second that was just as much of a fight, imposing itself at the end of the 30-26 partial although it did not reach it to complete the return to go to Atlanta’s three-point break.

The Hawks started better and took a lead of more than 10 points on the scoreboard, but again the Heat managed to discount without reaching him, despite Herro’s effort that reached 23 points, and Atlanta took the fourth 32-26 to extend the lead 93-84.

Thus with nine points of difference, he reached the last quarter, the quintet of the Capital of the Sun, which with an initial rally of 10-5 approached only 4 units. But after just one point, he saw the Hawks get back away from 10 with a 9-0 run.

Miami made a final effort but the wrong was already done, the Hawks finally won the 27-26 partial and took the victory by 10 points ahead.
