Jimmy Butler’s is tremendous. This time he didn’t get on the plane that took the Heat to Milwaukee where he faces the Bucks on Thursday, January 23, and the Miami team has no choice but to suspend him again.
On Wednesday night the Heat released the following statement about Jimmy Butler announcing his new sanction.
“We have suspended Jimmy Butler for two games for his continued failure to comply with team rules, insubordinate conduct, and conduct detrimental to the team, including the loss of the team’s flight to Milwaukee that took place today,” the statement reads.

All this in the midst of the imminent exchange between several NBA teams after the earthquake caused by the same player, who has said that he is not happy playing in the Heat, although he has no problems with the players.
If the change doesn’t come yet, Butler will be able to return from his two-game suspension on Monday, the 27, when the Miami team receives the Magic at Kaseya Center, after playing against the Bucks on Thursday and the Nets on Saturday.
The Heat really needs to change Butler as soon as possible, even if he doesn’t get the best value in return because his situation in the team has become a problem and a real distraction for the Capital of the Sun quintet.
In the last five games, Butler averaged just 11.4 points and this season has played just 25 games. He has 17.0 cardboards per game, which is his worst since the 2018-19 season.
In his last match on Tuesday against Portland Jimmy scored 13 units as headline and did not play the last quarter, completing the procedure without any involvement in the result.
As it has been known, a mega-exchange is being prepared between several league teams and Butler’s fate would be the Phoenix team, which in turn would release Bradley Beal. So far, no other team interested in hiring Jimmy has been reported at 35.
Everything indicates that the Heat now does not want Beal because of his three-year contract and $150 million with a non-exchange clause, so the 31-year-old escort could rest with the Bucks, who in turn would release Khris Middleton and another player like Bobby Portis, who could arrive in Miami or recalcling on another team involved in the exchange.
It is said that there may be at least four clubs interested in this business. The Bulls and Zach Lavine, of the Wizards and even the Thunder, are mentioned, hoping that this will be resolved this week and not reach the February 6 deadline.
Either way, the divorce between the Heat and Butler is a fact and with that is said goodbye to the dream of conquering another NBA title with Jimmy, who will leave with more sorrow than glory, after reaching the NBA Finals twice in the last four years.
A dead king, king on. Regardless of who arrives, the Miami team already has a new leader. Tyler Herro already seems recovered from his groin injury that caused him to miss his first game of the season, in Tuesday’s defeat to the Trail Blazers. It is listed as likely for the duel in Milwaukee.
You’ll have to be careful to see what happens in the next few days because the change seems imminent, even if the franchises involved in this mega-changing are taking it easy.
