The Dolphins (4-6) beat the Raiders (2-8) in Las Vegas on Sunday afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium in a virtual elimination game.

Passing to the pass, the Miami squad is heading to the fight to get into the playoffs, while the Raiders with defeat stay on the road.

Although the Las Vegas club came from suffering five setbacks in a row, the Dolphins could not be trusted and knew how to get out angry.

Next Sunday, the surfers will receive the New England Patriots (3-8), who come from losing 28-22 on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, whom Miami surpassed the previous date at home.

There had been so much talk of the low volume of play they receive in the current Tyreek Hill and Jason Waddle campaign that eventually coach Mike McDaniel decided to give them more opportunities and both wide receivers responded more.

Hill crossed the court from side to side to score a touchdown after an eight-yard connection with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, 10:39 minutes into the third quarter to go up the score 17-6. Hill got 61 yards in total.

Meanwhile, Waddle had a share in key plays and accumulated 37 yards. Jonnu Smith also became a decisive figure as he gained 101 yards in the air and scored two touchdowns.

The second virtually secured the win for the Dolphins, a 57-reard combination, as it lasted the lead 31-19 with 3:28 minutes to finish the game.

Jalen Ramsey, who was in doubt due to a knee injury that occurred in practice, recovered in time and not only played a remarkable game but got an interception when the Raiders gave their last drowned groove after Smith’s second TD.

Thanks to Ramsey’s interception, Jason Sanders took advantage to snap a 46-yard field goal and put the score 34-19 within two minutes of the end.

Tua completed 28 of 36 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns. Gardner Minshew II hit 30 passes for 43 yards for 282 yards and two touchdowns.

The Dolphins went ahead 7-0 after a precise serve from Tua to Smith for a one-yard touchdown when they played 8:10 minutes into the first quarter.

The Miami team’s daring, when it was on fourth down, allowed him to take advantage and take control of the game early.

Despite their poor record, the Raiders were unwilling to be easy prey and Daniel Carlson went 7-3 with a 27-yard field goal, with 11 seconds left at the end of the first period.

At 8:50 minutes of the second quarter, the Dolphins increased the count to 10-3 with a 31-yard field goal by Sanders.

The Raiders, for their part, did not lower their arms but found a very well-planted rival defensive that slowed them down in the scoring area and limited them to a 22-yard field goal from Carlson to put the 10-6 score.

The visiting group did a good job of burning time on the clock and barely left the Dolphins to answer just over 40 seconds, which was not enough and went to rest without changing the slate.

Brock Bowers, the rookie sensation of the Las Vegas ensemble who on Sunday gained 126 yards on 13 receptions, took advantage of a Minshew II pass to score a 23-yard touchdown pass, at 13:33 minutes into the third period.

The Raiders failed to score on the conversion, which would have put them just one field goal away from the Dolphins and the slate was 17-12.

Miami increased the count 24-12 thanks to a two-yard touchdown run from De-Von Achane at 4:19 minutes of the fourth period.

A long offense was rounded off with a combination of Minshew II and Ameer Abdullah for a 10-yard touchdown, with 4:30 minutes to go, which put the board 24-19 and increased excitement in the final stages of the game.

Smith’s opportunism and Ramsey’s efficiency prevented the Raiders from recovering and made it possible for the Dolphins to savour their second consecutive win for the first time this campaign.
