FC Barcelona won 3-0 in the Alaves field this Sunday, on the ninth date of Liga, and was held as a solo leader with 24 points, three advantage over its immediate pursuer, Real Madrid.

With a triplet by Polish Robert Lewandowski (7, 22, 32), the leader in the Spanish league scorer table with 10 so many, the bad news for the Cules was the injury of Ferran Torres, who was replaced by Eric Garcia in the first bars of the match.

After the unexpected defeat in Pamplona against Osasuna last week (4-2), the cule group resumed the march that has led him to win eight of the nine games he has played in the domestic championship this course.

The meeting was a recital of the Catalans in Mendizorroza, where they played from the beginning with a lot of intensity and without leaving barely any options to the Alaves.

The German coach of the Azulgrana, Hansi Flick, left with practically his eleven headlines, except for Jules Kounde, who stayed on the bench and instead formed Hector Fort.

Lewandowski, three goals in 30 minutes

In just half an hour Barcelona already had 3 goals with a Lewandowski very well assisted by the young Lamine Yamal and above all, for a great Raphinha, being the decisive Brazilian player in the victory.

Lewandowski, 36, looks far more successful than last season and adds a total of 12 goals in 11 games in all competitions.

Deportivo Alaves reacted timidly before going to the locker room when Toni Martinez scored a headbutt but the goal was canceled out of play.

Upon the return of the break, the Alaves also had another clear occasion of Toni Martínez after a failure of the archer Inaki Pena, but the ball went out rubbing the stick.

Barcelona maintained control of the game and was able to expand the score but the local goalkeeper, Antonio Sivera, saved the Alaves several times.

With the match practically decided, Hansi Flick switched Lamine Yamal and Hector Fort to Ansu Fati and Jules Kounde. And later Inigo Martinez and Alex Balde by Gerard Martín and Frenkie de Jong.

In the last stage of the meeting, both teams had opportunities in a few minutes back and forth, in fact, the Alaves scored about 85 but again out of play.

But the scoreboard no longer changed and the Azulgrana left at the stop of leaders’ solo selections after 9 days of the league.

On the next date, FC Barcelona receives at home Seville (14th, 9 points, with one game less) on October 20.

The Alaves, who stayed 12th with 10 points, will open the 10th day of the League in Mendizorroza against Real Valladolid (19th, 5 points).

The last two matches of the day will face Sevilla and Real Betis (16h30 GMT) and Real Sociedad with Atletico de Madrid (19h00 GMT).

Lewandowski is in “beast” mode

A large part of the reason why FC Barcelona is going through a good moment is the Polish striker who, with his three goals this Sunday, has reached 12 goals in the first eleven games played by the Catalan team at the start of this campaign.

At 36 years of age, the experienced attacker is experiencing one of the best moments of his successful career and has the Barca fans dreaming of a good performance that will help the Blaugrana team fight in La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey.
