Leo Messi is ready to start the 2025 preseason with Inter Miami CF, which adds one more match to its South American tour

Inter Miami CF began its preseason 2025 on Saturday, January 11, with the traditional medical examination at the club’s facilities in Fort Lauderdale, prior to its first practice on Monday 13 under the orders of new coach Javier Mascherano.

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and the rest of the Miami team’s staff passed through the Florida Blue Training Center and received the OK from the doctors, which will allow him to start the pre-preparing training camp for a demanding 2025 season.

In turn, it was known that Inter would have one more friendly game on the preseason tour, on February 2, when he would face Sporting San Miguelito in Panama City. So the team will have five preparation games in total three in a tour mine in South America and two in the United States.

Miami’s first match will be against the Club against the Americas on Saturday, January 18 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The second meeting of Inter will be played in Peru, at the beginning of the mini-girl, before the University Sports Club on Wednesday, January 29 at the Monumental Stadium of Lima.

The third is the aforementioned meeting in Panama on Sunday, February 2, against Sporting SM at the Rommel Fernandez Gutierrez Stadium, in the same Panama City.

Miami will close its trip in Honduras, with a duel in front of the Olympic Sports Club on Saturday, February 8, at the Metropolitan Olympic Stadium in San Pedro Sula.

Inter Miami will finish its preseason in Orlando, against Orlando City, on Friday, February 14 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay.

This Saturday 11 Inter announced that it renewed the contract of Argentine goalkeeper Oscar Ustari until the end of the year and will be the alternate goalkeeper of Drake Callender.

The Mascherano DT said on Thursday 9, on the Press Day of the MLS, that they hope that reinforcements will soon arrive in order to be able to face this demanding season while demonstrating the difficulty of Neymar’s arrival at the moment.

They are close to signing striker Tadeo Allende (Celta), defenseman Gonzalo Lujan (San Lorenzo), and the middle Telasco Segovia (Casa Pia). And they like the defense of Nahuel Ferraresi (Sao Paulo) and the half Baltasar Rodriguez (Racing Club).

At the same event, Suarez expressed his feelings about what happened last season and about the arrival of Mascherano.

Suarez renewed his contract with Inter after a dreamy first year where he had 37 contributions: with 25 goals and 12 assists in 37 games. Inter is currently working to offer Messi a deal extension until the end of the 2026 season.
