The Major League Baseball ( MLB ) postseason had an average of 3.33 million viewers before the start of the Championship Series.

The Division Series averaged 3.56 million viewers over 18 games, an increase of 14% from last year.

The divisional round viewership increases can be attributed to two series that went to maximum games.

Along with the presence of both New York teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Friday night's Game 5 of the National League Division Series between the Dodgers and San Diego Padres averaged 7.5 million across Fox.

Saturday afternoon's clincher between the Cleveland Guardians and Detroit Tigers averaged 3.42 million on TBS.

Fox and FS1 averaged 4.09 million for National League games, their highest numbers since postseason baseball began airing on FS1 in 2014.

Fox also benefited from the Phillies-Mets being the other series. The Mets advanced in four games.

TNT Sports averaged 3 million for ALDS games on TBS and TNT. The Guardians beat the Tigers and the Yankees beat Kansas City in four games.
