And this Saturday Inter Miami CF announced the signing of forward Fafa Picault until the end of the 2025 season of Major League Soccer (MLS), with an option from the Club to extend his contract until 2026.
Picault was a free agent, after his contract with the Vancouver Whitecaps, where he contributed 10 goals and eight assists in all competitions, helping the team win the Canadian Championship title and securing a spot in the MLS Cup Playoffs.
The Haitian international, known as the Gacela, has eight years of experience in the MLS, in which he has registered 57 goals and 30 assists, as well as experience in the field of national selections with Haiti, including having competed in the Gold Cup of the Concacaf, and in addition to representing the United States in 2016 and 2018.

Are we happy to welcome Fafa to Inter Miami CF? We believe that your speed, skill, and successful trajectory in the MLS can bring quality and experience to our attack. “We look forward to his arrival to reinforce our options in attack as we look for success in multiple competitions in 2025,” said football operations president Raul Sanllehi.
The New York-born Haitian striker returns to South Florida, where he lived during his training years between the ages of nine and 16, marking a homecoming with a Florida team for the third time in his career.
Picault began his professional career in the NASL with the Tampa Bay Rowdies in 2012 and had a standout season with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in 2014, leading the team with 12 goals the memorable season unfolded at historic Lockhart Stadium, where the Chase Stadium is now located.
I am deeply honored to join an ambitious club like Inter Miami Representing this shield and playing for the incredible fans that this organization has created locally, nationally, and internationally is a dream come true.
Returning to South Florida, a place I proudly call my home, gives me the opportunity to be closer to my childhood family and friends, while carrying excitement to this passionate football community. This opportunity is really special and I’m looking forward to making history with this team,” he added at the end.
Prior to being part of the Vancouver cadre, La Gacela played with the Philadelphia Union (2017-2019), FC Dallas (2020), Houston Dynamo FC (2021-2022) and Nashville SC (2023). In particular, Picault scored nine goals for Nashville SC in 2023 and played a key role in the team’s Champions League Cup goal in the semi-finals and finals.
Miami has thus found a replacement for Diego Gomez to form a deadly trio with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
The club is still looking for reinforcements for a demanding season under the command of new technical director Javier Mascherano and is now about to close the transfer of Argentine attacker Tadeo Allende, from Celta de Vigo.
Also sounds like the flyer of Barcelona Pablo Torre, 21 years old, with a lot of quality, but relegated to the bench by the tough competition in his position in the Bara. The point is that Inter has come out of a tough competitor, the Al Hilal with a lot of money.
But a Miami team also needs a good central defense and who better than Sergio Ramos, who is without a team? But that’s flour from another sack.
